TOTO, the largest sanitary equipment
manufacturer in the world and industry leader of plumbing-related
products in
Japan,
recently met with PSG Construction Inc. partners and brothers Stephen
and Paul Gidus in conjunction with the International Builders’ Show,
held in January and sponsored by the National Association of Home
Builders (NAHB).
A group of TOTO executives and eleven
remodelers from Japan who traveled to the United States to attend the
International Builders’ Show held in Orlando, desired to experience
first-hand how an American remodeling company conducts business. A local
company, International Planning, Inc. contacted PSG Construction on
behalf of TOTO. Arrangements were made for PSG Construction to make a
presentation to the Japanese group at the International Builders’ Show.
Stephen shared business practices, systems and marketing strategies used
by PSG Construction. After the presentation, Paul took the delegation on
a tour of two PSG projects to help the group better understand the
construction process in
America. An interpreter accompanied the group, since none of the
remodelers or executives spoke English.
“These Japanese executives and remodelers
had a great curiosity for how an American remodeling company conducts
business,” Stephen explains. “We think our presentation and project tour
gave them a better understanding of American practices. We were
delighted that we were singled out for this purpose, and were pleased to
host this delegation.” PSG
