The
Florida Home Builders Association (FHBA) named Stephen Gidus,
co-owner of the Winter Park-based remodeling company PSG Construction,
Remodeler of the Year at the Fall Conference of the Florida Home
Builders Association in Naples, Florida. The Remodeler of the
Year Award recognizes individuals who have enhanced remodeling
professionalism while serving their industry, association and
community.
Stephen
received two of the FHBA's highest individual honors by earning
the Remodeler of the Year Award and an Eagle Award for valuable
contributions made to the industry.
As
chair of the state's Remodelors Council in 2002, Stephen
revived the organization and also implemented remodeler educational
programs at the Southeast Building Conference. Stephen, who also
is recognized as a Certified Graduate Remodeler (CGR), traveled
throughout Florida promoting the Remodelors Council and presenting
seminars. His work has been honored and recognized by the Southeast
Building Conference Aurora Awards, the Home and Garden TV program
Old Homes Restored, Southern Living magazine, and
a Better Homes & Gardens television special. PSG Construction
is also recognized as a Big 50 Remodeler by Remodeling
magazine.

said Florida Home Builders Association President Bill Slavich
of Naples.
Stephen
received the Remodeler of the Year Award from last year's winner,
John Ranck, CGR, of Naples. FHBA President Barbara Revels presented
Stephen with the Eagle Award.
Stephen
serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Home Builders
Association of Mid-Florida, is the immediate past Chair for the
Florida Home Builders Association (FHBA) Remodelors Council,
and is Vice-President of the Home Builders Association of Mid-Florida.
PSG
